The Many Facilities at Pullman KLCC

As promised, now I will review the pool, sports, entertainment and dining facilities found in Pullman KLCC after my review of their family suite which I stayed in with my family a couple of weeks ago. After settling down in our room and all that, while Jordan took a hot bath in the tub, Josiah and I decided to head down to Level 10 to check out the pool and The Zone. Level 10 is basically where all the ‘fun’ stuff is found.

The Zone is open from 9am to 10 pm daily and used to be known as the Kid’s Club, but now it had been totally revamped and refurbished with the latest computers, PS4 and Xbox. There are relaxing couches for parents to sit while watching the kids.

Josiah enjoyed playing the Kinect Sports Rivals games on the XBOX set in the centre of the living room. Well, it’s noting like real sports but it is fun anyways as we have never played XBOX before.

On the side of the room are two PS4 machines where kids and adults can relax on beanbags and play away. They have quite a variety of games to choose from.

DSC03957
Real sporty ones can try their hand at table tennis, I used to play this a lot as a kid but now I became quite bad at it! At the back is a Mac and a PC side by side equipped with internet. I was even able to publish a blog post that evening while the kids play their games.

Younger kids are not forgotten as there is a playground with slides for them to climb around and utilise their unending energy.

Around the play area, there are lots of other toys like blocks, cooking toys, puzzles, and more. It was just neverending fun for the kids.

Right next to The Zone is the gym, pretty well equipped with all the treadmills and bikes as well as weights. However, don’t expect the latest machines here. Most of the residence will use the gym in the evening while the day time, it is mostly empty.

The pool is also located on the same floor just next to the Living Space. What was awesome was I could order drinks and have it served at the pool side from The Living Space for hot drinks or the Terrace Pool for some cooling drinks. They even serve snacks too.

The pool area is quite large, with a jacuzzi in the centre and a kiddy splash pool too. While swimming, I realise the water had not chlorine smell yet it was sooo clean, I used my goggles and did not spot those specks and dirt that are usually found in most pools. Kudos to the cleaning man. Pool side parties can be held here too and while we were there, a wedding party was just held as they have a beautiful garden area just made for that.

On the other side of The Zone is The Living Space, this has got to be my favourite place.

The Living Space lives up to its name, it is super big and spacious. I had expected it to be small since it is only for the use of apartment guests. I love the colourful setting and the different seating area.

Snacks and drinks are available throughout the day and what I love most is the free flow of Coffee, Tea and Hot Chocolate all day till night! I’m not talking about just plain ol’ black coffee, but I could order any kind, from Mocha, to Latte, to Cappuccino and we really tested out their service by ordering Hot Chocolate at 12.55am, 5 min before closing time and they made the drink happily and gave us extra since it was closing time. They don’t usually close that late, it was only open till that late on Saturdays for sports fans.

That’s because there’s actually a mini theater inside The Living Space that looks super comfy with the big chairs and bean bags. Shows and movies can be turned on here anytime with the assistance of the staff but on Saturday nights, it is usually football night.

DSC04173
Breakfast was served here too and there was quite a array of dishes to choose from.

DSC04175
There were all cuts of bread with butter and jam and more.
DSC04176
There was yogurt for the healthy ones, I love this and had more than one.

DSC04177
Kids that love cereal were never forgotten here.

DSC04178
Fruits are a must for me in the mornings and check out the cheese and crackers too.
DSC04179
Drinks are served like this, on ice, pretty cute idea I think. They even have detox drinks and a few types of juices to choose from.
DSC04180
This was my first dish to start off the beautiful morning.
DSC04181
Josiah was just happy as there were fried noodles and eggs for him.
DSC04183
There were also some pastries and cakes served at the counter.
DSC04186
Of course, I get to have my coffee for the morning too.
For dinner we head to Eccucino located next to the lobby which is an all day dining restaurant with an open kitchen concept.

DSC04007
Eccucino serves a wide array of dishes from Japanese, Western, Chinese, Malay to Indian food in their buffet spread.

DSC04008
DSC04009
Yes, there’s even authentic chicken rice ala hawker style.
DSC04011
I love seafood and fish the most so my favourite dish was the Pan Seared Red Snapper with Pommery Cream Sauce.
DSC04012
Lots of healthy choices are available and Josiah loves the sautee of assorted mushrooms.
DSC04013
DSC04035
John’s fav must be the pepper Fried Crabs which he ate plenty of that night.
DSC04018
I also love that there are plenty of desserts to please my sweet tooth, from cheese cake to chocolate cake, red velvet and tarts and more and even some local kuih.
DSC04023
Serving 1: Some fruits to whet the appetite.
DSC04038
Serving 2: Salmon Sashimi my favourite, but eating it sparingly.
DSC04025
Serving 3: Seafood from the ice bed.
DSC04027
Serving 4: An Assortment of dishes from the buffet spread.
DSC04033
Serving 5: Finally, ending with some sweet cakes.

DSC04042
After the dinner, I was surprised that the staff ushered the kids near to the kitchen for a cupcake decorating class.
DSC04043
It was a simple but fun time for the kids and they really enjoyed the activity. I just love any establishment that love kids and treat them like VIPS.
DSC04049
The boys were even given little aprons while doing this activity.
DSC04055
DSC04058
It just reminded me to start baking at home again seeing the happy smiles on their faces. They were so proud of their creation and they each carried their cupcakes to show it to the Father. Eccucino says they will have this activity anytime when they do not have too many diners and when they have kids in the midst.

DSC04073
Just before leaving for the night, we decided to have some gelato ice cream.
DSC04076
There were some pretty interesting flavours available, such as Gelato Pandan, Durian and Teh Tarik. Amazingly, the teh tarik went really well with durian taste.
What an amazing getaway in the city it was for us, an unforgettable holiday indeed!
