Collect Garfield On-The-Go with Guardian Malaysia

I love cats a lot, and Garfield is definitely one of my favourite fat cats! When I was a little girl, I used to read Garfield comic books and even watch the cartoons. When I read the papers, the comic section with the Garfield comic strip was always the first page I turn to. Well, guess what, now Garfield fans like me can rejoice as Guardian Malaysia brings back us back to memory lane with Garfield, the iconic orange fat cat created by Jim Davis back in 1978. Yes! Garfield is still older than me!

The Garfield On-the-Go merchandise redemption programme was launched by Peter Dove, CEO of Guardian Health and Beauty Sdn Bhd at its annual dinner with trade partners today. I always love Guardian’s special redemption programme that rewards customers. This kind of creative approach is what will make me want to go shop in Guardian for my necessities rather than another shop that might not have rewards.

“The iconic cat Garfield not only brings back fond memories for many adults, it is also much-loved by teenagers and young children. Guardian’s Garfield On-the-Go series of bags and luggage offers something for everyone in the family, lighting up their journey wherever they go,” he added.

The launch of the redemption programme was really carnival like and festive, as we girls gathered at Sunway Convention Centre last week.

Before dinner proper, we had so much fun playing some carnival games in the various stalls named after countries, such as this China stall that gives away cotton candy. This is also one thing I love to eat as a kid!

At the England Stall, we played mini golf and this is well loved by the kids.

There was even an Egypt stall with a fortune teller…well it was just for fun. The parrot in the box would walk out and pick out a random card that tells about your life, pass it to the master and walk back into the box. Very cute parrot, so well trained.

The most popular stall was France where two caricature artists will draw your face to look like a cartoon.

Josiah just had so much fun the the clown on stilts who were all so friendly and ever ready to make balloon guns for the children.

There was even a magician that performed tricks for Josiah, it was really funny and fun to watch.

Special performances at Guardian's launch of Garfield On-the-Go
Finally, we entered the hall for the dinner and launch and there was an electrifying opening dance that captivated Jordan with the drums move. It was such a honour that we could be part of Guardian’s Year End Dinner.

We were also so mesmerised by the dangerous performance of these two beautiful strong aerialists. Wow, the organising of this event was really massive and blew my mind.

Finally, we had famous magician Moudini who took the stage and wowed the audience with his magic, from appearing doves to snakes, it was quite an awesome experience.
