Porting back to the Yellow Man

Porting back to DIGI was a piece of cake. It didn’t take any longer than 10 minutes at the counter, and a promised 24 hours or less for my line to be activated. More than a year ago, I was pretty happy using Digi Prepaid. Then, I ported to Maxis only because I thought it was necessary in order to get and use my new iPhone. Little did I know that it was really not. Anyways, I used Maxis for a whole year as I was given free internet 500Mb by Maxis. Then the term ended last August, and I was offered to change my line to Maxis Value 30 and given free 500 SMSes a month. I thought that was a good offer so I took it.

That’s when all the problems started. Suddenly, I was charged a hefty data bill. I know about the 1Kb/1sen thingy, but it never got so hefty while I was using Prepaid Hotmail, and I used my 3g daily and never paid more than RM30 a month to reload. That was the funny thing. So after being really fed up with Maxis after just 2 months of their Postpaid, and feeling so deprived for being 3g less, I decided to port back to DIGI today. What a relief. Unfortunately, after I left the store and went back to my office, they called and asked me to go back and change my sim card as they gave me the wrong one, boo boo.

So now I’m using the Internet Lite plan at RM33 a month, limited to 300Mb only, while my calls are at PAYU (pay as you use) at 15 sen/m. This is still better than my current 20 sen/m with Maxis postpaid. I hope I’ll get a good experience with DIGI again this time.
