New band, new site
I’ve been making myself busy the whole of this week, trying to build a speedy site for a this indie band, Crown of Thorns, as they call themselves. I don’t usually do sites for free, but seeing that they needed some kind of publicity, and don’t have any money, I decided, why not la, I’ll just whip up something simple. Sarawak laksa
sarawak laksa Originally uploaded by Leona. Talking about food makes me hungry, so I might as well talk about the infamous Sarawak Laksa. Over in West Malaysia, this dish can be found in certain restaurants and some coffee chops with migrated Sarawakians, but always diluted. Tomato kueh tiaw
tomato kueh tiaw Originally uploaded by Leona. What can be moe yummy than this? This delicacy is only found in Kuching, not sure about other parts of Sarawak. Not all places serve great tasting tomato kueh tiaws though. This place that I frequent is situated in Sekama, and offers fantastic Fried noodles too. However, the prawns, fresh as they are, just aren’t big enough. So, my mum usually brings her own tiger prawns and ask them to…

Anyways, it was funny how God put everything together for me. Some time ago, I had approached many universities to no avail, so my sister had helped my out by introducing my to a lecturer from UNIMAS. But as mentioned in my June’s post, something happened and the whole thing got screwed up and I couldn’t get my data from UNIMAS. However, after a while I managed to contact another lecturer who dillied dallied with me for…
