Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) officially reached new milestones at KLIMS 2026 with the official launch of the IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N, bringing world-class electric performance to Malaysian roads for the first time.

The arrival of the IONIQ 5 N and IONIQ 6 N in Malaysia signals the next chapter in HMY’s journey, bringing Malaysia a new class of “performance EVs” – a class that refuses to compromise between track-bred exhilaration and everyday practicality.

IONIQ 5 N: The Track-Capable Crossover

The IONIQ 5 N is a bold statement in the world of electric performance, purpose-built to prove that EVs can deliver a visceral, emotional driving experience. As the 2024 World Performance Car, the IONIQ 5 N has been engineered for the driver, from its track-tuned chassis to its suite of N-exclusive technologies that replicate the feel of a high-performance combustion machine.

Producing 650PS with N Grin Boost and dispatching 0–100km/h in just 3.4 seconds, the IONIQ 5 N achieves a top speed of 260km/h, all while delivering a practical WLTP range of 448km. Its 3,000mm wheelbase ensures this is a performance car that never asks you to leave the family behind.

Signature N technologies onboard include N e-Shift (the world’s first EV system to simulate the feel of an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission), N Active Sound+ (NAS+), N Drift Optimiser, N Grin Boost (NGB), N Torque Distribution (NTD), and N Launch Control.

The IONIQ 5 N is now officially launched in Malaysia, with an official retail price of RM443,888. The model is available on a built-to-order basis, ensuring exclusivity and precision for every customer.

IONIQ 6 N: The Secret Supercar Sedan

Built on the aerodynamic IONIQ 6 Streamliner platform and crowned the 2026 World Performance Car, the IONIQ 6 N elevates the Hyundai N philosophy further. cloaked in a 0.27 Cd drag coefficient body, it is the more aggressive, precision-focused counterpart – a car that feels as much at home carving corners as it does cutting through city commutes.

Matching the IONIQ 5 N’s 650PS with N Grin Boost, the IONIQ 6 N achieves 0–100km/h in a blistering 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 257km/h, backed by an extended WLTP range of 487km and a stroke-sensing Electronically Controlled Suspension (ECS), also available in the IONIQ 5 N.

The IONIQ 6 N is now officially launched in Malaysia, with an official retail price of RM449,888. Like its sibling, the IONIQ 6 N is only available on a built-to-order basis.

Hyundai Motor Malaysia invites all auto enthusiasts, loyalists, and the general public to visit its booth at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, from 12–21 June 2026, open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays, and 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on weekends. The booth will feature the full Hyundai lineup – including the TUCSON, SANTA FE, STARIA, and Hyundai N-line models – alongside test drive opportunities.

Visitors can look forward to a series of football-themed engagement activities including PlayStation 5 games and other on-ground activities to win special Hyundai merchandise.

Hyundai Cup™ Trophy Tour in Malaysia

As an added highlight, the Hyundai Cup™ Trophy will make its appearance in Malaysia at the Hyundai booth from 12–15 June 2026. Here, visitors can get up close with the iconic trophy at the booth as part of a regional 30-year celebration of ASEAN football. The Hyundai Cup™ Trophy Tour kicked off its regional journey in Thailand on 25 March 2026, stopping in Malaysia before heading to Indonesia over the coming months leading up to the Hyundai Cup^TM 2026.
