    Counting fetal kicks with iPhone

    January 17, 2012 / 0 Comments

At my last checkup 2 weeks ago, I was asked by the Klinik Kesihatan to start counting my fetal kicks. I didn’t do this last time as my private doc didn’t find it necessary. Anyways, this time, I had to record my kicks daily from 9am onwards till 9pm, and stop if I achieve 10 kicks, if not I was supposed to get to the hospital immediately. Sounds serious huh. Thankfully, Jordan kicks like a footballer, and kicks a lot. I have to record in the ‘pink clinic book’ but it seems a fuss to have to bring this book everywhere I go. So I decided there must be an…

The little people under the stairs (and on the screen)

    January 4, 2012 / 0 Comments

It’s been a while now since this film came out, but it’s so lovely, that I thought I’d spend a little bit of time on it. The film in question is Arietty, from the legendary Studio Ghibli. Although it came out in 2010, it is a slice of pure sunshine that should not be forgotten. Arriety is the first film to be directed by star Ghibli animator Hiromasa Yonebayashi, who had previously worked on favourites such as Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away. In case you were wondering, Hirao Miyazaki may not be at the helm, but it’s still great. The film is an adaptation of The Borrowers, four classic…

    28 – 30 weeks update and a first 4d baby scan

    January 4, 2012 / 1 Comment

This post is 2 weeks late. Yet it’s something I must share as it was the first time I saw Jordan’s face with a 4d baby scan. Normally all we get are the 3d baby scan. Jordan is now about 1KG and from the scan, looking really chubby. He even yawned in the video. I think he looks a lot like Josiah. Well now I’m 30 weeks and I just realised I’m not as tired as I was at this stage in my first pregnancy. I used to be unable to sit on my office chair for too long and I needed something to prop up my legs all the…

How to move Android Contacts to your new iPhone

    December 16, 2011 / 8 Comments

So by today, maybe lots of Android users are using the iPhone for the first time, be it iPhone 4s, iPhone 4 at a cheaper price or somebody’s passed down iPhone 3gs, the third being the case I’m going to discuss. As I’m getting my 4s, I’m passing down my 3gs to John. Before he could get his hands on the 3gs, I have asked him to read all about it, as the workings of an android and ios phone are quite different. I even helped him out by directing him to a few sites which you can also Click Here to see and learn about iPhone unlocking functions. He…
