This will be the first time I blog about Atomy in my life. I first met Atomy products 2 years ago but I had never tried it. It was not until January 2016 when I was learning Korean language online that a Korean boy told me about Atomy as a business. I started looking into it through watching many videos on youtube and reading about it in some blogs. That is why I am blogging about it now as I realised a lot of the info I found were through some member’s blogs who started doing Atomy before it was launched in Malaysia. I was able to learn a lot just from reading their experience in it.
This was the first time I met my sponsors in a small apartment in Kampung Baru on 7 October 2016. I was very afraid when going there alone as I didn’t know what was going to happen. I actually went to Atomy HQ in Wisma Nusantara instead only to realise it was closed and that I was supposed to meet at  an apartment instead. Talk about miscommunication. At that time, my sponsor can speak zero English. When I reached there, I met Chan Gu, the Korean boy who introduced Atomy to me and his cousin Hyun Jo who would be my sponsor too. They brought up to the apartment and introduced me to three other ladies from Philippines and some of their ‘bosses’ as well as Mrs Lim. Everyone was really friendly. They made me sit down and immediately asked me to try their skincare. In the back of my mind, I was really nervous that they would ask me to buy the skincare as I didn’t bring any money (purposely actually). Hyun Jo was the only Korean there that could speak English as he studied in New Zealand. So he was like the translator who explained everything about the skincare to me. I used the Evening Care 4 set and the Skincare 6 System and I must admit it was amazing. I had never used any product that I could feel a positive effect with immediately. I also watched some marketing plan videos at the apartment some of which I had already watched throughout the months of studying about it.
This is Kim Chan Gu, my sponsor now who spent many months teaching me about Atomy when I wasn’t at the time 100% committed. In fact, I did not really know what I was getting myself into. I never liked Direct Sales, MLM, Networking Marketing and so on as I do not really like talking to people. At that time too I could not register and be a member yet, I thought I just wanted to try the products and decide after that.
Later that evening, we went for dinner at a Korean BBQ Restaurant. I noticed how my sponsors never wasted their time, they were always giving out catalogues to everyone that they meet. They remarked that Malaysians are so friendly and accepted their catalogues without pushing them away.
This is Mr Park, Sharon rose master and Mrs Lim’s partner. He taught me how to eat bbq the correct way. It was really fun and funny at the same time. I learned a lot of things from him. Mr Park was also the one that showed me the marketing plan the next day with his limited English at the time. That was the start of my Atomy career, the first time I witnessed how it was done. We then proceeded from there to Little Korea, Ampang. They continued to share about Atomy to everyone they come across, then we headed for some fried chicken at a restaurant. That was also the first time that I realised Koreans love to eat and drink from one place to another.
And yes, I did buy the skincare that day itself, the very first day after trying it. It was cheaper than I thought and I didn’t have to pay immediately. They also gave me a lot of extra products like toothpaste, toothbrush, lipstick and coffee to try. I made an appointment to meet them another day before they went back to Korea. I wanted to bring some friends together but no one was available at that time. I was not used to the lats minute culture yet.
The next day, we met early again at the apartment where they tried to teach me more about the business and marketing plan of Atomy. I realised that Atomy is very different from other MLM, first being it’s free to join, and second being the products are cheap, and third it’s all done online. I do not have to buy products and go to people’s house to sell it. I just need to share about it to anyone and let them shop online naturally themselves when they need a certain product in their house as all the products are daily use necessities. The skincare alone convinced me of the quality. I am a blogger and I used so many types of brands from cheap to very expensive and I always write my opinions honestly, but Atomy totally blew my mind. I have very troubled skin, enlarged pores and acne since I was a teenager. If there was a product that could make my skin better, I was willing to try it. My new skincare regime with 10 items inside cost only RM400 total so I really felt I had nothing to lose.
We went to lunch and it was the first time I met with Mrs Lim’s other partner, Mr Nakkeeran and his lovely daughter Abbirami. Mr Nakkeeran and his daughter had learned about Atomy from his brother and they wanted to come and listen about it as Mr Nakkeeran has a lot of experience in network marketing. After lunch, we had a meeting together and it would be the first time I showed someone the marketing plan. Looking back, it was amazing as Mr Nakkeeran is now the Center Leader of Sungai Way Arokya Center.
Having not much to do after that, we decided to visit Pavilion and the boys were amazed at our big shopping malls.
Hyun Jo even get to have his first Malaysian style haircut at Fahrenheit 88.
Some pics while waiting for him. After two days building a relationship with Atomians, I was determined this was what I was going to do. I will have to wait for sometime before Atomy opened in Malaysia as my sponsors all headed back to South Korea. 다시보ìž!
