Once again, a new Apple is launched in Malaysia, called the New iPad. The new iPad is certainly very confusing, some people calling it iPad 3 and some calling it iPad 4g. Anyways, whenever an Apple product is launched, you can expect queues. As much as I am an Apple Fan, I cannot believe that there are people willing to queue since last night. I bought my iPad 2 at an obscure dealer in Malacca where there was absolutely no queue. Well check out these crazy people who will get their hands on the new iPad today. My sis will be visiting the Switch at Spring Kuching only during lunch time, I hope she will manage to get the iPad she has been planning to get for 3 years now.
Machines Mid Valley since last night
Machines KLCC long line since early morning
Machines Sunway line until outside wei!
Machines Empire since 10am
Switch Gurney, the Northeners are not spared!
Switch Kuching, Sarawak, also so long line.
Cool, Switch is giving free McD breakfast!
So are you one of those in line?
There were no mobs of angry people outside the HK Apple Store, thanks to the Apple’s ‘iReserve’ system. You make your reservation online, if you’re lucky, you will get inform that night telling you what time you can come in the next day to get your iPad, and it’s limit of 2 per person. This new method of purchasing is to stop scalpers for hiring runners to line up the queue, which give high chances of making the launch day in a mess . The shortcoming of such practice will create inconvenient for the real customer, discourage their willing of purchasing the new product. And it seem to affect the lively buying atmosphere on a launching day which is always a unique for the Apple store. Less excitement for a new Apple’s product launch doesn’t look good, we hope someone would change the approach. So no walk-in purchases are allowed ? We just feel that a normal customers doesn’t need to ‘beg’ Apple for buying a latest i-gadget.
