Fishy

For the last 2 weeks, I just have this craving towards fish. Previously, the thought of fish makes me nauseated, but now I just love it. Everytime it’s lunch time, I can just think of fish head meehoon, steam fish head, fish and chips, fish whatever and more fish. I saw yesterday that a cafe is opening up in Metro Point, and it’s called Arowana Fish Cafe. That’s quite weird, coz Arowana fish, that’s supposed to be a pet right? But it’s a cafe, meaning it serves fish dishes? I hope it’s not serving dead pets Arowana fishes. Hhm. Quite unfortunately, the new cafe is taking over one of my fav Taiwan eateries, Xi Men Ting. I have on hand a whole load of discount coupons for Xi Men Ting, and then they close down. How nice.

What other fish eateries are there out there? Talking about that though, I am prescribed with fish oil tablets by my gynae. It’s one of those transparent little capsules with oil in it. I take one daily, but is not too excited about the taste. Normally, I can’t taste the oil coz, well it’s encapsulated with plastic. Today, I made my usual green smoothie in the morning, except that I used Dragon Fruit. If you know Dragon Fruit, it is a dark purple colour, so my smoothie is entirely that colour, not something you want to be spilled anywhere. Well, I took one sip of the smoothie and proceed to take out my pills, including the fish oil pill, but coz it was the last one in the bottle, it was deep inside and I had to reach my fingers in to pinch it out. I guess I pinched it too hard and it tear, I put it in my mouth that is full of the dragon fruit smoothie, and behold, the fishyness of the oil! I gagged and my stomach churned, and I tried my best to force myself to swallow, unfortunately, reflex is reflex, everything came splattering out. A scene to behold, thankfully, no one was in sight so I had the time to rinse my mouth of the terrible taste of raw fishyness, and quickly cleaned the surroundings that were splattered. Mental note, never break the fish capsule before entering mouth.
