Wow I cannot imagine going bald, but I think many guys would. So many of you guys out there who thinks you look more macho when bald, why not take up this challenge? Furthermore, it’s for a good cause. So what’s the cause? Well, Worldvision is trying to raise RM100K to help the folks in Tuaran and Kota Belud, Sabah get a mobile library and a learning resource centre. Education is the key to a better tomorrow! So, let’s help this rural people get their hands on some books! I’m sure they would really, really love to read and open their eyes to the whole world, thus leading to a change of mindsets and a paradigm shift.
Here’s how you can help!
Pledge to go bald and get friends/ family to show their support! Here’s how:
- Email the following to tan_shu_yi@wvi.org : Full name (as per IC), age, contact number, email address, occupation, why you decided to go bald, the amount you hope to raise and a recent photograph.
- We’ll feature you in the Operation Botak Facebook Photo Album and update the amount you’ve raised on a weekly basis.
- Place these banners on your blog/ Facebook to drum up support. Once your friends have decided to support you going bald, please get them to download this form and give directly to World Vision.
- Shave your head on 28 March 2010! Details to follow …
The Operation Botak challenge is open only to those who are 18 years old and above. Please ensure that you obtain consent from your parents/other concerned parties before making the pledge. The closing date for signing up is 12 March 2010.
