I miss my confinement time

So, confinement is finally over, but instead of sighing with relief, I wish it was a little longer. Let’s see why..

1) I had a super cun confinement nanny, her name is Mandy

Mandy has been in the business for only 5 years, and used to work in a restaurant. She’s totally passionate about cooking and food, and is easily satisfied when I eat up everything. She doesn’t cook in huge proportions and force me to eat though, it’s just enough. She’s really easy to get a long with, and helped me out a lot. She certainly taught me many things, from bathing the baby, to how to boil red dates drink, to how to do baby’s laundry. At nights, we woke her up like 2 times at least to change diaper, coz the diaper table is in the room she sleeps in….:P and she never complains. Basically, I was treated like a queen for one month, with food served right to my bed. However, I also have the freedom to do anything I want, I could go downstairs, go out, go online etc, and she doesn’t nag at me. Of course, I do all that to the minimal, also needed my rest.

2) Food food food

Now that confinement is over, I have to think about when is my next meal and where to get it. I don’t think I have the time to cook just yet. Certainly, the food is not as tasty and in so much variety…I think John would agree on this part too. No more home cooked delicious food :9

3) Diapers and bath

During confinement I don’t have to bath the baby and change the diapers myself…now I have to do it myself all the time! Yesterday I bathed Josiah for only the 2nd time, somehow he cries a lot more when I bathed him, as most of the time he is hungry. I can sweat a whole bucket just by bathing him!

4) Laundry

During confinement, my laundry is automatically done everyday, and folded and brought to my room. Woohoo. But now…needless to say, it may take a week to do it and forever to fold it.

Again it’s back to having a great confinement nanny…Mandy even called me from Puduraya yesterday before she boarded the bus back to Setiawan to ask how is everything. Thanks Mandy, for everything!
