I saw this trailer on Lifetime Channel last week and the first thing that went through my mind was, hey I want to be on the show. Finally, there is a reality TV Show for moms, and it doesn’t really focus on the mom, it’s really on the dads. What happens is, three moms from three Asian nations, Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines are given a 5 day holiday to Vietnam, while the three dads are left behind to take care of their kids and their household. I really want to know how they cope as I cannot imagine this happening in my little family as my little one asks for me all day everyday.
The three lovely moms who really deserve the time out
The show is like a social experiment to see what happens in the reversal of roles as in Asia, typically mums are the ones that stay home to take care of their kids and are the ones known to be closer to the kids. However, this show is trying to proof that the attitudinal relationship is more important than the biological relationship.
“We wanted to explore the idea that being a mom is an attitude and not just a biological relation, so we tested this out on three fathers from Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. As our first original production for LIFETIME it was a fun and relatable subject for us to cut our teeth on,†says Chris Humphrey, Director, Production for A+E Networks Asia.
A dad can be a mum to their kids too! Let’s just see if that can happen, if you’re curious, tune in to Lifetime Channel Astro Ch 709, premiering August 28, Thursdays 9pm to catch #MomsTimeOut.
