    Watch movies on your Palm

    December 31, 2005 / 3 Comments

When I first got my Palm Zire 31, I tried many kinds of software to make it able to watch movies. The Zire 31 wasn’t really made for it, but yet I was able to crack some softwares and watch a couple of movies on it. But the software I used (Smartmovie) needed me to convert normal video/vcd files to handheld formats, and it just took too long. I think I eventually gave up. Now that I’m using the Zire 72 passed on from John, which has better processing power and abilities to watch movies, I decided to try it again. Palm’s own website wasn’t particularly helpful in providing a…

Christmas Open House at Stadium Negara

    December 27, 2005 / 2 Comments

My church gave me an invitation to the Christmas Open House held yesterday at the Stadium Negara in KL. I never go to these things, but I thought it might be fun. I would really like to see how the ministry of culture put together a Christmas celebration for the public and the king. It turned out to be really good. With the invitation, we were ushered through a red carpeted entrance, and everyone was given a basket of goodies, cakes and chocolates. That’s supposed to be the ‘jamuan’. Anyways, we get to sit directly in front of the stage, just next to the VIPs, that is the Timbalan PM…

    How do you celebrate Christmas?

    December 23, 2005 / 7 Comments

Today during morning devotion, we were asked to tell how do we really celebrate Christmas in our family aside from church stuff. Then I realised, I don’t really ‘celebrate’ Christmas like most people would. I don’t come from a traditional ‘Christian family’ so, we never celebrate Christmas as a mega family celebration. All these years that I spent away from home, I never go back to my hometown for Christmas. I only go back for Chinese New Year, somebody made the statement, we are like Chinese first and Christian second! Hhm how true is that? It caused me to think, what really is Christmas to me. I guess it’s a…

Blogging on Why One Can’t Blog and some Rants!

    December 22, 2005 / 3 Comments

Today somebody asked me why I never update my blog, and then it hit me, I actually kind of lost it in the last couple of weeks. So I’m forcing myself to blog about why I can’t blog. It has certainly been on my mind, I had been wondering, why every slightest idea or concoction that I wanted to blog about, would seem preposterous the moment I sit myself down and look at my write post page. Then I would, ‘Nah, forget about it.’ And go ahead and do something else. In fact, the blogs I subscribe to in Bloglines, sometimes seem uninteresting…even my favs that I know would make…
