Sarawak Club burnt to the ground?
Just heard news direct from Kuching that the 130 year old very exclusive Sarawak Club in Kuching has burnt down to ashes…with the only thing left now, the swimming pool. “Poor old building” is my friend’s exclamation when I told him about it. While my sister says, she regrets having never taken pictures of the building. Sarawak Club has been the hangout place for many of those exclusive members for all those years. It’s got some nice facilities, the pool, the gym, the cafe, library etc etc. I remember having gone there a few times with my friend in high school whose dad was a member. Really cosy place. It…

Concerts and stuff
7097 Had been concert going again…Yesterday I went to the concert with the Indonesian band Givingmybest or more familiarly known as GMB. GMB hasn’t been coming to Malaysia for a while now, especially since their church in Jakarta got bombed last year…was it last year? Due to the large crowd and the fact we hadn’t taken dinner, we missed grabbing the CDs and getting it signed. Managed to have my Kolo mee at Ming Tien. 7171 Today our…

Sarikei blogged
5821 There’s this guy, Daniel Yiek, who’s really into Sarikei, a little tiny town in Sarawak, many hours from Kuching where I was born and raised, and a couple of hours from the busy town of Sibu. He had started this blog that is amazing…coz for such a tiny town like Sarikei where there’s only like a couple of traffic lights, he manages to write all sorts of things on it. It’s kinda great, just profiling the place and showing the nice places of interests. Do check out this post, yea coz my pictures are features…some pics I took during my last visit there.
