    Hot Date to MPO

    December 9, 2006 / 0 Comments

A couple of weeks ago, JR asked me out on a hot date to the MPO. It was my first time watching a live orchestra, what more with funnyman Carl Davis as the conductor. Our MPO hall was indeed world class, all the instruments sounded crisp and clear without the need for microphones. For me it was a grand experience, especially when they performed the excerpt from The Nutcracker…which was simply beautiful except for the choir.  The Soka Gakkai children’s choir performed for some Christmas carols (which I thought was so ironic), and they didn’t impress me one bit. It was a feeling like drinking the best coffee in the…

    Hillsong United in Malaysia

    December 2, 2006 / 8 Comments

Hillsong United, the youth ministry of Hillsong church, paid a visit to Kuala Lumpur last week 24th Nov. It was the first time the team, consisting of Joel Houston, Jonathan Douglas, Michelle, Matty, Jad etc. (can’t remember who else) came to KL for a concert at SIBKL. Needless to say, the RM20 a piece ticket was sell-out a couple of weeks before the concert. Kids from all over must have forced their parents to buy them the tickets…or just got them themselves. Anyways, I went with my carecell and had a blast there. I went early and made it to the RM15 workshop, which was well worth the small fee.…

    Freedom on wheels

    November 22, 2006 / 5 Comments

Finally, I got my license. I am not ashamed to admit, I had to fail twice before I can get my P license. Bribery is not necessary to pass, but it’s also so rampant it is sad to see. No wonder accidents are happening so much on our roads. Today, I got the good news that my loan for a new car had been approved. I had not expected to get a car so soon, but now I can’t wait for it to arrive. Can’t wait to have wheels finally…and well, to be in debt for the next seven years. At the moment, I am still wondering how to survive,…

    Lights

    November 10, 2006 / 5 Comments

wall2 Hosted on Zooomr I’m recently very obsessed with pics of street lights captured in slow shutter speed, with all the colours, in straight lines, with emphasis on perpectives. Haven’t got to trying it myself….I don’t think I have the time to be standing at street corners with busy speeding cars…photographing it all for now. I find most of these pics on deviantart and just add on the scriptures for use in church.
