Hamper goodness Koci
A couple of days ago, John’s boss gave him some stuff from a hamper the company received, and some of the food he brought back had very nice packaging. Amongst them is this cute box of Kuih Koci. What is Kuih Koci? Malaccans would know, since that’s where it originates. The nice box had all the stories and history written on it. Kuih Koci normally looks like this, wrapped with banana leaf in a corn shape. This being a packaged product, it comes in plastic wrapping. Dahaitsu Terios…mirror of the next Perodua Kembara
When I was in Kuching, I spotted a Daihaitu Terios from Indonesia. We don’t get Daihatsu Terios here in Malaysia, as Perodua has collaborated with Daihatsu to sell it as Perodua Kembara. The Toyota Versions are called Toyota Rush. News from Paultan.org says that it will be out by mid 2008. My parents usually invite all their buddies to our house on the first day, and tonnes of people would come. My mum would cook up a storm and serve the food ala buffet style. This year, my mum cooked, Curry lamb, ‘Ka ca ma Chicken’, Red wine chicken, fried brocolli, Ham rolled chicken and…

All the red in the new year
Usually, my graphic design sister, Creeart will do the decorations in the house for Chinese New Year. She normally comes out with some Cartoon character hand drawn, of the animal of the year, Rats for this year. However, since she’s in confinement, I had to do some kind of deco for the house. I’m not really creative in drawing fine arts and drawing from scratch, so all I did was download some cute Rats from Deviantart and print them. My eldest sister also bought those generic red and gold house deco from the shops. So I just simply stick them around the living room, with some red packets and hanging…
