Body Grooming with Philips The Hygienic Way
Philips Malaysia never fail to come out with the most interesting and useful product. This time I was offered to review the Philips BikiniGenie trimmer and I was so stoked that it came in my favourite colour purple. I received the model BRT383 that came with mini shaving head and 2 click-on combs. For women, keeping ourselves groomed and clean is top priority. Philips BikiniGenie is specially made for busy women who want to remove body hair permanently or keep body hair tidy below the belt, right at home. Sure, there are various methods that I had done as well, like waxing and some people go for laser treatments and electrolysis. I think every woman can choose any method they want but for me, I can’t be visiting the saloon every week for that, so having Philips BikiniGenie around at home is really handy.
The Philips BikiniGenie can ensure the right shave using the right head. You can choose a precise trim and shave with its 2 click-on combs to trim hair to a 3mm or 5mm length, while the bikini trimming head trims down the hair to 0.5mm for an even groomed look. The round trimming teeth are designed to safely trim the bikini line without any cuts.
It comes with a handy drawstring pouch to keep everything in one place. For me, I can easily bring this pouch into the shower with me. This trimmer is for wet and dry use, so it’s super convenient to use while showering.
Another convenience is, no charging is required as it is powered by one AA battery. I have used rechargeable trimmers before and I do find it a fuss to have to plug in to charge etc. so this is a welcomed idea.
The two supplied trimming heads are so easy to remove and put on, just a twist will do.
All the heads can be opened to be cleaned directly under the tap water and for extra cleaning, there’s a cute little brush to do just that.

This is the mini trimming head with the 3mm comb on it labeled as M. The 5mm comb will be labeled as L. Without the comb, this mini trimming head can trim precisely at 0.5mm. I can assure it it is painless unlike an epilator, and you basically won’t feel anything at all, yet it will do the job nice and clean very very quickly. The combs are for you to choose how long or short you want your trim to be. After your trim and you want it to be smooth, you can use change the head to the one below.
This will give you a smooth shave after trimming, this really works like your regular electric shaver I think but a really mini sized one.
There is another model BRT381 that comes with only 1 click-on comb. I’m very happy with this product, as it lives up to its claim, that it can used anytime, anywhere! That is inside or outside the shower, don’t think too far!
