“When Darkness Falls, You’re Already A Victim.” Whoa..some horror lines there from Microsoft. Recently, pirated Windows user might have realised that Microsoft is going all out to change piracy to genuine license by causing pirated versions to be unable to start up, the whole screen would just go blank. If that happens to you, you won’t be able to turn on the PC until you get a genuine license and install it. This is very smart of Microsoft. At first, reports say that it only happens when one updates their windows through Microsoft’s site and get detected, but later on, it seems that attacks are at random. Means anyone can get it….now that’s horrifying to know indeed. Thus, their ‘movie poster’ kind of advertising, really freaks me out when I first saw it. It looked inspired from some Korean or Japanese horror flick, a black screen with a bloody corpse like hand crawling out. There’s actually a skyscraper version that is animated..and showed the hand slowly coming out of the screen.
