Flowers and Coffee

valentine’s day

I spent my last Valentine’s Day with my sisters, chilling out in Coffee Bean. The roads in Kuching was unusually packed with cars, and florists trying to get people to buy last minute flowers and the side of the streets.

Coffee Bean was just next to the entrance of Sarawak Plaza and there was a stall selling all kinds of plush toys, to flowers to baloons. A guy and two girls were manning the stall, though I didn’t see many people giving them business. They didn’t seem to give a hoot, and were busy talking to each other and having a festive mood (my intepretation of their body language ok)

Anyways, my and my sisters were busy with our cameras. We were clicking away here and there, most of the time forgetting about the coffee.

People started pouring when it was a bit late into the night. In fact, that night we met a gay couple, a foreigner and a asian looking guy. They were sitting right in front of me, and the foreigner could keep his hands and legs off his partner. Quite a scene they create…I caught their picture, but nah, won’t show it here.

There was also a blind man playing the keyboard sitting at the entrance of Sarawak Plaza. In fact, as far as I can remember, this man had been making his living there. Maybe since I was a little kid.
