Faith, what’s that man? Many people have that lingering question in their hearts, mind you, even believers. Faith can seem like a complicated thing. Let’s refer to the BIG BOOK to see what’s been said about it.
Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
So, we know faith is not about seeing then only believing. I don’t need to see your heart to know you have one, I know when I see the compassion and love shining thru you. Therefore, I have faith in you as a friend. Example la.
But how do we have faith, there are so many things that’s so hard to believe. How to have faith?
Romans 10:17
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.
So we know we gotta keep reading the Bible and listening to the Word, by attending church, cell groups, fellowship whatever, where the Word is spoken and preached. Isn’t that easy? Just listen only, our faith will grow and multiply. Man, you can even learn from your leaders, and men and women of faith.
Hebrews 13:7
Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.
Faith is infectious, you can get the anointing from those who mentor and teach you, just by reaching out and catching hold of it.
Faith is so very important in the last days, where prosecution takes place, sufferings and all. It is not faith when we suffer and says life is unfair. It is not faith when we worry about tomorrow and what will happen to our lives. It is not faith when we get anxious all over. If we worry, we are saying we don’t think God is powerful enough to bring us to the end.
Revelation 2:10
Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.
But most of all, never disregard your faith, even unto death! You will be given eternal life, if you proclaim the faith, and keep it even in suffering. Do not believe only when there’s peace, when life is great. But continue to uphold that faith even when times are bad, even when you’re in no mood for it, even in terrible sufferings and consequences. We know where the ending is, we have to keep looking at that ending, our ending is glorious, there’s no giving up halfway.
Who is more faithful than our Father in Heaven, He believed in us, and made wonderful plans for us, even after knowing our weaknesses and failures. Keep holding on, He is the God of faithfulness.
