Divine Intervention

How many times have you been snatched or pick pocketed and actually found back your wallet and valuables? The possibilities of that happening is extremely slim. I know I had been pickpocketed a couple of times in KL KTM, and never got to see my stuffs again. But I count myself blessed, coz both times it was just my hand phone and make up kit that was stolen. But do you know that if a bunch of people come together to pray earnestly enough, God’s divine intervention can cause miracles to happen?

Yesterday, our Czone cell went tracting in a few housing areas in Kajang. We went in two separate groups to two totally different places. It was pouring cats and dogs, so my group was soaking wet as we walked around the garden putting tracts in people’s mail boxes. AS we gathered for dinner in Ray’s house, we heard of a terrible thing that happened to one of our sister, Lydia. Lydia was tracting in another taman with another sister, Vun, when a motorbike came by and snatched her hand bag. What was most terrible about that happening, is that she’s got everything precious in her bag. There was he IC, her passport, all her keys to her car and her house, etc etc. What most concern us was that she lost her passport. We all know how hard it is to get a Malaysian passport, some were saying that she can’t get another one in 5 years. And the worst thing was, she was supposed to go on a mission trip to Cambodia in a couple of weeks.

Lydia was devastated. This happened even just after her house got flooded twice in two weeks. She had nothing on her, she couldn’t get into her house, she couldn’t drive her car. Thank God she had many caring friends. There were people offering her a place to stay, people helping her with the police report and even bringing her around to get all the business done.

Before dinner we prayed for her. We could only pray that the little thief could just give back her stuffs, somehow some way. Our pastor even mobilised all the intercessors to pray for her.

This morning, a most amazing thing happened! There was a man who found her bag, checked out the details and called her workplace to pass it to them. When she got her bag, all her important documents were in it! Despite losing her cash and handphone, I can’t help but be amazed that this must be a work from God. Last night, we kept telling her what happened has happened, and that there must be a reason for it, but we were just wondering what reasons could it be for. Our small minds cannot contain God’s wondrous plans. But now I see, even in a snatch theft such as this, God’s name can be glorified in her bag being found. What a slim chance it was, but the power of prayer cannot be denied. God heard her cries and our prayers, and He caused it to be found, Praise God!
