Tomorrow I start work at a new place. I was foreseeing unemployment for at least a month or two, but when I got the call from my new boss, I thought oh well, might as well start immediately before I put on a lazy bum and the dun feel like working attitude.. yeah it can get like that.
More than a year ago, I was a fresh grad, all fired up to find a job and start earning some bucks of my own. My first job I found through a job recruitment company. It was somewhere in the heart of KL and my first time going for interviews on my own. I was really freaky and nervous at the time, as I hate going to KL town alone. So, I got a friend to tag alone, and while there, I had to go through some easy form filling and chatting kinda interview. I even sat for a typing test, which ahem, I did quite well. There was a middle aged guy taking the test with me; he was an engineer looking for a job of similar line, but was asked to do the typing nevertheless. I could see he was pretty pissed from the corner of my eye as I banged away at the keyboard. This guy was pathetic, coz he could only type with his index fingers.
Anyways, times are tough so I grabbed the first job offered. It was to be some sort of tele-interviewer. I walked with my fren from the Bukit Bintang area to the KLCC area. On the way there, my fren happened to look into a nearby parked car and saw a man playing with himself! Thank GOd I didn’t see it, GROSS nevertheless.
So, my patient little fren waited for me as I went into a conference room for a group interview. We were asked to act silly and do little dramas to show how to talk to customers and stuff like that, interesting. So I started working there, it was my first job and it was really fun. That was where I met some interesting fellas and had a fantastic boss. I was made the team leader of my group as the boss was pretty fren fren with me after a while. However, it was just a contract 3 month job on project basis, so I left after that.
I went on to work for a major bank as a call girl erm, I mean, a customer service telephone operator thingy, where customers call just to shout at you or to chat you up. It was a freaky job, I didn’t fancy it much. I had many customers shout at me throughout my time there, and some customers offering me gifts, money and dates. One guy wanted to buy me a handphone when he asked for my number and I said I don’t have a handphone. Weird people!
So, I left after about 3 months there. That was the time I went into hibernation. I enrolled into a university to continue my studies, but at this time I began to put on the lazy bum. I sat all day at home, doing some reading and doing some sleeping and some game playing. This was the time I played through many a dungeon and dragons game!
Therefore, the point of this post is, I shouldn’t let myself relax and rest too much again, being on a job keeps me on the move, therefore no time for laze!
hey you, i thought the title of this entry was ‘New Job’? why you talking about all your old jobs? just teasing.. don’t angry ya.. :oP
Sorilo, I’m no good in arranging my thoughts in sequence, I maybe thinking of writing one thing and went to writing another…this is why I never get my work done 🙁
