I finally got started on some minimal Christmas deco around the house just to ‘get in the mood’. Actually I had already made my own compilation of Christmas songs a month earlier and got it playing at work, in the car, on the iPod, so yea, that was pretty much in the mood enough.
Back to the house, we decided not to put up the Christmas tree this year, as the tree is rather old fashioned and ugly, and it will be in the way as there’s only so much space in the house. Instead, I just took out the Christmas lights and strung it around the curtain rail.
Then I just hung up these two ornaments on the CD Rack.
What do you call those flowers?
Over the weekend, we visited Ikea to get some stuff my sis wanted, and I bought some fake but lovely Gerberas, and a unique bottle vase. That goes on the dining table that was beginning to look lacklustre.
Well, well, that was all of the Christmas Deco that we have! Completely simplistic and minimal, but definitely adds to the warmness of the living room. I also haven’t bought any gifts this year compared to last year. After all, Christmas isn’t about all that hype. We know there’s only one reason for the season, and that is celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, the redeemer that lives.
