About a month ago, I received a complimentary Annie’s Way Snail Repairing Jelly Mask for my review. I have never tried a jelly mask, so I thought why not. Furthermore, Snail Masks are kind of popular these days.
Annie’s Way have many types of Jelly Mask, but this one sounded like it had many benefits such as : repairing, nourishing, hydrating, brightening and removing blackheads and dirt. It contains Hyaluronic Acid which I love.
The mask comes in quite a big plastic jar of 250ml with a spatula. This mask is Made in Taiwan. It’s suitable for both dry and normal skin.
My skin condition is more towards oily and lots of enlarged pores. I have mostly whiteheads and some blackheads on my chin area and mostly are acne issues.
I applied the mask by using the spatula and spreading quite a thick layer all over my face. It is transparent and cooling to the skin, then I leave it for 30 min. After 30 min, I use the given spatula to scrap it off before washing. It is said that when you scrap with the spatula, the blackheads will come out together. I did not really experience this, but I find that the blackheads on my chin become easier to come out. But if you think it can automatically remove all the blackheads, then I doubt it can with one use. So far, I had used this mask about a month, 1-2 times in a week. I do like the light texture, and I believe it is hydrating my skin, though I have not seen a significant effect. I like the smoothness my skin feels after washing it off, but I cannot claim it has magically remove my acne, blackheads, and made my pores shrink. That said, I would love to try the Aloe Jelly Mask meant for Acne skin after I use up this one.
Doing more mask is the important part though, after doing a lot of beauty reviews, I started really taking care of my skin more and doing masks regularly. Besides this mask I alternate between many other masks as well and had found improvement to the touch. Although there is still a lot of improvement to go, but I am just glad that I have less breakouts now than before and hopefully, by the time I finish the masks I am using now, there can be a real visual improvement too!
