There’s nothing that irks me more than lukewarm coffee. I usually make coffee in my machine at home and bring it to work in my Starbucks tumbler or Keepcup, but though these on the go cup and tumbler are awesome, they are not fantastic in keeping my coffee warm for a long time. I don’t drink my coffee immediately at work as we usually have morning devotions for half and hour or more. So by the time I sit down at the table, I get luke warm coffee. The other method is to make my coffee at work, but the coffee cools down really fast as well in our air conditioned environment. So I had been looking around for a small enough coffee mug that also keeps warm for a long time. I don’t want to get those really big 300ml above tumblers as my machine made coffee is usually around 220ml to 240ml only.
Couple of days ago while shopping in Tesco, I came across this pack, buy 3 15s pack of Super coffee and get this nice custom coffee bottle. The size is just perfect at 235ml. From the packaging, I do not know what is the brand of the bottle, but I love the water colour painting on it. This pack costs RM39.
Later I found out that this is not a generic China brand bottle that you usually get with those premium gifts company, this is a Taiwan brand Rico bottle, which though not as popular as Thermos, La Gourmet etc but it pretty good. I just put it to the test this morning, made myself a cuppa of Vanilla Latte at 8.20am, and the coffee is still hot at 12pm. And that is with me opening it and drinking it every few minutes. At the moment, this will be my fav on the go coffee bottle. The top of the cap can also be opened to store a tea bag or something. I nearly bought the Dolce Gusto mug at RM70+ and I’m so glad now that I did not. I will keep the Super Coffee 3 in 1 for those lazy days that I just don’t feel like brewing coffee.
Good idea, why didn’t I though of making my own coffee for work. Thanks Leona 😉
