Johnny’s Restaurant Steamboat IOI City Mall
I had seen this restaurant around all the time but never had a chance to try it until today. Johnny’s Restaurant is a Thai Steamboat Restaurant, but it also serves a variety of Thai Rice and Noodles and Specialty Dishes as well as a host of desserts, from Banana Split Ice Cream to Sago Lolo, really many types. Before this, I thought this restaurant must be quite pricey with bad service, but I totally changed my mind. It is quite affordable after all. Jin Man Noodle House
This is one of my favorite eateries located in Mahkota Cheras. It’s a noodle house selling wan tan mee but with special made fish balls which is what they are famous for. They have a few types of noodles, the thin normal wantan mee noodles, tang hoon, and thicker yellow noodles. You can make your order for soup or dry noodles and have extra things added like Yu Pill(fish intestines?) or a big piece of fish cake. I ordered tanghoon today as I always love tanghoon! Fine dining in Equatorial Penang
Last month, I attended a friend’s wedding in Penang held at Equatorial Penang. It was a poolside wedding with the dinner at the ballroom. I was expecting a normal chinese round table dinner, but was surprised and delighted when I entered the hall. The table setting was a long banquet table, beautifulyl set with candles and flowers. The wedding favour was very cute too, it’s a little aluminium candy box in the shape of a luggage complete with wheels. By that time I was starving, so had to munch on the candies.
