    Dream come true

    January 24, 2005 / 3 Comments

panasonic fz3 Originally uploaded by Leona. I had wrote about my dream camera in September being the Panasonic FZ2. Little did I know about the FZ3 then. I had finally got it for my birthday recently, and it is just a sweet baby! It fulfils every expectation of mind. Firstly, it’s got great zooming power. I can snap stuffs that’s so far away, of people being their natural self and details of nature etc. It is great. Be sure to check out my Flickr gallery which will be updated very often now.

    Unconditional Love in Aceh

    January 15, 2005 / 2 Comments

I was reading this blog NowandEver and there was this beautiful account from IraLippke, a designer currently working in a Bali orphanage, on what he and his buddies did and saw in Achech during the Tsunami. He was talking about how it was so hard to get in to help as the government had all these rules that all foreign help had to go through them. It was saddening to note that amidst this chaos, the government medical officers there still adopted a couldn’t care less attitude. “A day later hundreds of Medical workers arrived from Southern Sumatra. They were paid by the government to be there, but I still…

    Major Blackout

    January 13, 2005 / 4 Comments

I was spending the whole morning doing non computer related work, and thought I could resume my computer work after that, unfortunately, just as I had finished, the blackout happened. It was the second time a blackout happened in this new office, so I thought it was merely some funny TNB people messing up the wires. Anyways, I had some time to read up on cults, and then went out for lunch. It was really hot, so a good excuse for cendol! My office secretary then told that the blackout is so major, that it’s…

An album to raise more funds

    January 9, 2005 / 1 Comment

Oops Asia, a local record label, with the likes of Patrick Leong, Juwita Suwito and Altered Frequency being its artists, is going to release a compilation album for fundraising for the Tsunami Affected Regions. I think this is great, I have always loved songs by all three of these artists, and now they’ve written songs just for this. The album’s going to be released on 26 Jan and can be found in most Christian books stores such as Canaanland, Gladsounds, Chosen Treasure and Salvation, including MPH, Powerstation and some others…be sure to look for it. Click on to Oops Asia forum to read Patrick’s wonderful story of how he designed…
