    Third Day in Battambang

    May 2, 2005 / 0 Comments

The third day in Battambang was basically the start of our teaching ministry. It was quite daunting at first as there were about 3 consecutive 1 hour classes each day for each pair of teachers, with other classes for Bible studies and classes for Monks. Due to it being just after the Khmer New year, many of the students were not around, but still the classes went on. We decided to combine the different level classes into one for the first class. In the first class, me, Rex, Ade and KC taught together. We had songs, games and the gospel using the color hearts. The students were probably curious what…

    Crash in Reko Road

    April 29, 2005 / 1 Comment

A Wira crashed with a Kelisa early this morning at 8.10am in Jalan Reko, just below the flyover from Metro Kajang. The woman from the Wira managed to flee from her car unscathed, as gasoline spilled over her car. However, the unfortunate driver in the Kelisa was unable to escape and was stuck in the steering at the time of the picture taken. Many passers by stopped and tried to help the girl, but most waited for the ambulance to come to help her out. It is unsure whether the girl was still alive at this time.

    Second day in Battambang

    April 28, 2005 / 1 Comment

We were scheduled to do two presentations and a testimony at Battambang AOG the second day on Sunday. That was the reason for our rush to get to Battambang. We got ready by 7.30am in the morning after devotions and all, and Grace and Mao were already waiting for us at the lobby. Church starts at 9.00am and Grace was bringing us for early breakfast. We walked to a nearby Chinese restaurant, and the owner of it spoke to us in Cantonese. It was great coz I could order my own food. The food was great! I had beef noodles with milk tea. We talked and fellowshipped and got to…

First Day in Poipet and Battambang

    April 27, 2005 / 1 Comment

On the 16th of April we took the 11am flight from KLIA to Bangkok. Upon arriving in Bangkok two hours later, it was raining cats and dogs. We managed to get taxis and bus Aranyaprathet all within our planned time. We were rushing to get the 2.00pm bus as people there told us the border closes at 6pm, and the trip will take up to 5 hours. Therefore, we were just counting on the Burger King we had earlier at KLIA to give us physical strength till night. At the Morchit Bus station, everything was written in Thai. You can talk to the people in English but they’ll still reply…
