    Chef Squirrel

    September 12, 2005 / 0 Comments

Yesterday I went to another cafe. Ok, maybe I really want to be a food taster HAha. This place is also in Sg Long called Chef Squirrel. It’s right next to the 100yen Jap stuff store, where you can get weird cheap Jap stuff, from biscuits, to chopsticks, to little utensils. Anyway, somebody said this place is much better than the HongKong bistro around the corner, which I liked, but hate the service. The first thing I noticed as I entered the place, was how unclassy and smudged the floor tiles were. The place’s decor was just ok, it was using a lot of green, but the tables and chair…

    Station One Coffee House

    September 12, 2005 / 3 Comments

This supposed Coffee House called STation 1 has been mushrooming recently, with chain stores in Sg Chua, Sg Long and Cheras. It’s got pretty fancy interior design, but it basically stops there. I visited the restaurant in Sg Chua, ordered Maryland chicken and checked out the available coffee range. Sadly, they call themselves a coffee house but doesn’t serve real coffee. Their coffee are those powdered kinds you can get in Pasar Malam. I don’t recommend the food either. It was just edible, but not worth the price. The Chicken tasted dry and hard. The vege was tasteless, and worse, the salad had only a tiny bit of mayo. There…

    MiTV anyone?

    September 7, 2005 / 4 Comments

VS Anyone putting money down to subscribe the new Pay TV MiTV? Its decoders are already available on the market as of today. MiTV is supposed to be the ultimate rival of Astro . We had dreamed of MiTV killing the Astro monopoly of Pay TV so that pricing can become more affordable for the poor tv addicts. However, the MiTV decoder alone is priced at a whooping RM1188! That’s like 10 time more expensive than Astro’s decoder! They’ve gotta be kidding rite? A statement issued at MiTV’s launch yesterday said the decoder, which is called an Interactive Multimedia Terminal Setop Box (STB), is priced at RM1,188. This does not…
