Got your blog spot yet?
I only heard of onethousandbloggers.com yesterday from the Banana who speaks. All the faces of bloggers… I thought the site was pretty cool….letting bloggers buy a tiny spot on the main page to link to their blogs. I jumped on the bandwagon and applied for the spot, and good thing, it was for free yesterday. Today they started charging $3. If you’ve got the bucks, then get your spot now. It will be there for at least 5 years… So far only 205 bloggers have registered, with Singaporeans being the most followed by Malaysians. Seems there’s not much from other countries so far. Sarawak Tribune will be missed
I grew up reading Sarawak Tribune. Although having moved out of the state many years ago and preferring The Star now, it is still sad to read about its demise. There are already only two mainstream English dailies from Sarawak, so now alternatives for local news seemed even more scarce for Sarawakians. I can just imagine the horror of those who work there, the editor in question, who for one day was busy creating news for the masses, and the next being put out of work. Going home at last!
Hey I’m going back people! To Kuching! Finally going home tomorrow! I have yet to pack, this is the first time I have super a lot of things to pack! So I’m carrying a huge heavy luggage back, not to mention my heavy baby Ibook. I’m so excited to get back right now, I don’t know why? Furthermore, my former high school is having a St Teresa St Joseph 10 year reunion on 31st Jan! Chinese New Year feasting!
Stephanie, Li-Ann and Adeline can’t wait to Loh Chinese New Year has not even started yet, but the feasting has already begun. The Young Adults Carecell in our church had a feasting good time to celebrate this occasion, and what could get us more in the mood than to Loh Yee Sang! Actually, this tradition of eating Yee Sang during Chinese New Year is apparently created by Malaysian and Singaporean Chinese, and not a passed down tradition of old.
