MySQL has gone away solution
Just over the last two days, I opened my website to find it’s layout messed up with scripts saying MySQL has gone away…what the heck? On my other blogs it was just the sidebar messed up, but on this blog, even the posts aren’t showing. This is bad news, especially since it happened today after the server migration, and today happened to be Malaysia’s public holiday, and on holidays, I don’t normally go online in the morning. Sarawak’s Bird’s Nest
What is that big, square, yellow building? You can find lots of such buildings in Sarikei, as you drive along the village road. These are actually ‘house nests’ for harvesting bird’s nest. Swiftlets are raised and bred in these house-like structures that in one glance may look like a prison. Sarikei Bridge
Kuching city is divided into North and South by the Sarawak River with two different Local Councils, Sarikei being a rather small town is also divided into two parts separated by the Nyelong River. It is also a road that links to Bintangor, the local short cut. It’s quite a fuss to travel to and fro these two parts for the local people. They have to take a ferry ride at the jetty. The kind of ferries for vehicles. Passengers…

Malaysian Satirical Comedy

This site contains comedy in videos and songs, very creatively done by Allan Perera and Indi Nadarajah. I only got to know about this site due to the recent election fever in Malaysia, when bloggers and people online start to get really crazy sending out mass mails to change our minds about certain views etc. So, this duo actually created some songs using oldies that talked about the recent political news and election news. Obviously these things can’t get on our national TV, being rather sensitive and all. But do check out the Latest Hits…
