Things I didn’t know before motherhood
Certainly there are thousands of things I couldn’t have known until I face motherhood in the face myself, however, there are just some things I thought were impossible to have known through reading online etc. Mostly, I was flabbergasted when when I found these out. 1) Babies store milk in their nipples. I was shocked when my CL showed me, she even squeezed my baby’s nipples and milk squirted out. Later, I found out you should be squeezing them, and they are also caused my hormones from the mother while in the final stages of pregnancy. Week 5
Josiah is now 5 weeks old, and as at a few days ago, I think he had a growth spurt…he suddenly need to be nursed too constantly in the day and napping less. My day starts around 5am sometimes as early at 4am, and after nursing, I would do pumping for about half and hour. By that time, I may or may not have time to sleep again, as Josiah takes his bath by 8.30pm. John usually gives the bath, time for daddy son bonding and time for me to take my breakie. In Loving Memories
Fellow uni mate and Perkebian and old friend, Nimrod, fondly known as Nim passed away this morning at midnight in Kudat after a road mishap. He left behind two kids and his wife. I heard the news this morning through my John, and I couldn’t even come to terms with it then. I probably haven’t seen Nim since we graduated nearly 10 years ago. Last May when we went to KK, we wanted to meet up with him but didn’t have his number. I know Nim followed my blog closely, in fact he was just at my blog yesterday.
