THE MPO CELEBRATES RACHMANINOFF’S 150TH BIRTHDAY!
The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) celebrates the 150th birthday of renowned classical composer Sergei Rachmaninoff in concerts themed ‘Happy Birthday Rachmaninoff’ on Saturday, 1 April 2023 at 8.30 pm (sold out) and Sunday, 2 April 2023 at 3.00 pm at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP), KLCC. The concerts are part of the MPO’s 25th anniversary this year which celebrates glorious masterpieces from the classical music world. Rachmaninoff’s works are known for their extravagant grandeur, unabashed appeal to the emotions, rapturous melodies, rich colours with powerful romantic surge. All abroad with the MPO as gleeful globetrotters and intrepid travelers explore the rhythms, melodies and musical traditions of faraway lands. Gamuda Land Opens SplashMania Waterpark at Gamuda Cove with Early Bird Pricing
Gamuda Land today held its official soft launch ceremony for its 18-acre SplashMania Waterpark located in Gamuda Cove. A total of over 2,200 visitors were amongst the first to set foot in the waterpark and experience the first-of-its-kind waterslides in Malaysia like the Shaka Waka, a 78-meter-long multimedia and audio waterslide fitted with various LED light effects, amongst others.
