The moment Leona extended the invitation to this grand MPO 20th Anniversary, I could hardly breathe; panting with excitement. The dress code was, suit up and dress up. This round, I brought my friend Elsa Jane Ling. Thankful for Harry for being so generous with the invitation that I can enjoy this event with my friend. MPO’S 20TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL SEASON AT DEWAN FILHARMONIK PETRONAS!
Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP) and the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) are proud to announce their 20th Anniversary Special season. The celebration will commence with a Gala Concert on Friday, 17 August 2018 (exactly 20 years since the MPO’s inaugural performance on the same date in 1998) and Saturday, 18 August 2018 at 8.30 pm. The MPO will be led by the eminent Jac van Steen to present an exciting programme comprises the whirlwind-paced Smetana’s Bartered Bride Overture and the Arabian-flavoured Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade.
