Shizens launched the all new Glamouresque Collection II in April with a series of roadshows promoting them, but prior to it, I actually had some fun time at Shizens Pavilion store to check out the collection and enjoy an exclusive beauty workshop with their make up artists and consultants. In case you haven’t heard of this brand, it’s a really good skincare and cosmetic brand that I fell in love with since I was first introduced to the all star Lip Tattoo by The Butterfly Project Malaysia in 2014, read review here.
That was why I was really excited to attend the beauty workshop, and indeed I learned that like the lip tattoo, most of Shizen’s products are really one of a kind and showed immediate results, plus it’s cool that they are infused by bountiful natural ingredients to revive and nourish a person’s natural beauty.
Check out the range of products all for our use.
We started off with using the Hydro Cleanser in a pump bottle to remove all makeup and cleanse our face, followed by the Hydro Enhancing Lotion, all from the hydrating range. The range in pink bottles are more suitable for younger skin or oily skin.
The treatment starts right after with Hydra Quench. This is an intensely hydrating essence formulated to boost up moisture level for all skin type especially dehydrated skin with soothing effect up to 24 hours. Hydra Quench works effectively in 3 ways on our epidermis layer:
• Replenish moisture
• Keeping moisture
• Lock-in moisture
Hydra Quench is made up of nourishing ingredients, including Sodium Hyaluronate and Gigawhite (7 natural plant extracts), which makes it an effective hydrating essence with firming and brightening benefits. The correct to use this is to apply it and massage it until it is fully absorbed, followed by Hydro Liposome Essential and then another layer or Hydra Quench.
This product is so special as you can see little tiny capsules inside the bottle. Once the bottle is pumped, then only the tiny micro capsules will burst to dispense the product. Hydro Liposome Essential is formulated with multi-layer micro capsule encapsulating honey extracts and pearl extracts. Micro capsule penetrates deep into skin and unveil active ingredients layer by layer. Pearl extracts improve your cell metabolism, stimulate the growth of collagen and skin rejuvenescence while honey extracts will help to reduce formation of fine lines. This is definitely one of the must have for anti-aging skin treatment.
After that, I sprayed on the Ultimate Potent, another star product from Shizens as this product promises immediate lifting of the face. No surgery needed! I thought it was amazing. The make up artist helped me massaged my face upwards after spraying this on and I could see an instant effect where my cheeks were not as droopy as before. It also evens skin tone that promotes a smooth and youthful appearance.
After doing the skincare, we proceeded with the makeup, and the first I used was the Aqua Pore Perfection foundation cushion. The compact is so so beautiful, purely golden case with liquid foundation inside.
The foundation really can bring out the radiance for a brighter skin tone and to create a perfect flawless skin and cover up the pores. It contains treatment for the skin and loaded with Vitamin A, E, F for a healthy skin glow and also SPF protection.
For extra coverage, I used the Sheer Tint Foundation, formulated with a unique WOW technology (Water-in-Oil-in-Water), where water molecules are double coated to provide the skin with extra moisture and hydration. This helps to create a non flaky face, which I suffer from if using the wrong foundation as I have combination and oily skin. This foundation also contains red algae extract and has the ability to promote microcirculation, thus preventing the complexion from dulling, evens the skin tone and enhances skin radiance. They said that even under air conditioning, The Sheer Tint Foundation application can last up to 8 hours, without clogging the pores.
After that, I learned how to draw my eye brows with the Double Auto Eyebrow, which is unique with an oval shape stick end for applying the eye brow easily and a mascara brush on the other end, to make the eye brow look more natural once brushed. It comes in 3 colours, Black, Brown and Cappuccino Brown, I think the trend now is to go for a lighter brown shade. For eye shadow, we could also play with the Hue Duo Eye Shadow in different shades, Sepia Pink, Mocha Glow and Khaki Glitz. I didn’t get to put them on though but it will surely be able to bring out the charm in the eyes right?
For mascara comes the very amazing star product that must work in a pair, the Shizens Mascara with the Eye Charm. First, we just need to apply the mascara on our eye lashes which is transparent, followed by as many coats of the Eye Charm as we want.
The Eye Charm is so special as it’s actually fibre. As we apply it, our eye lashes grow thicker and longer with the fibre that start sticking together on it. Eye Charm is formulated with a blend of fiber and Panthenol (Pro-vitamin B5) that enhances the texture of lashes. Eye Charm is does not clump and the after effects is super amazing.
It takes some time though to achieve the long lashes that looked like eye lash extension, the make up artist was putting layers and layers of the fibre on Carol’s eyelashes.
Finally, I used the all time fav, Shizens Lip Tattoo and do not have to worry about my lip colour fading while munching on these little pastries. The Lip tattoo brings out the lips’ natural rosy tones. Upon application to the lips, it changes color depending on the individual’s pH and body temperature. I just love this product so much and can never find another type of lip tint or tattoo as good as this that brings out the nicest lip colour ever. With prolonged use, the lips will also become naturally pinkish and not faded. This lip tattoo can also be used as a blusher. It is also advisable to top it off with lip gloss or lip balm or just use Shizen’s Lip Gloss or Lip Painter.
