Today I am talking about a buffet but it’s got nothing to do with food. Instead, this is Clothes Buffet Malaysia Season 3 I’m talking about. Confused? Read on to clear your mind. Malaysia’s Largest Clothes Buffet, Season 3 as the name suggests will be in its 3rd year running. 2016’s Clothes Buffet promises to be even bigger and better than ever before. I received an invitation from Clozette, the Social Media Partner for Clothes Buffet My.
Organized by event management specialists, LINs Communication, this very unique event will surely attract girls of all ages and sizes to come and grab as many garments as they can to fill in zip-lock bag sized 35.5cm x 23cm, and whatever is in the bag zipped up without breaking the bag is theirs to bring home. All these got to be done in 15 minutes, and the greatest challenge is, there will be 30,000 pieces of clothes in the buffet area to choose from. Shoppers just need to pay a flat fee of RM150 to enter the area to grab.
Girls Being Girls
Little Black Dress
Earlier this month, I attended The Secret Affair event which was an exclusive party for bloggers and media to preview Season 3 of Clothes Buffet Malaysia. It was a really fun event held at Elementum, Kelana Jaya. We get to shop for real and have first hand experience of how it is to shop at Clothes Buffet Malaysia later. We were given this clear zip-lock bag and was told that in the previous season, the record holder for the most number of clothes to get in this bag was 22 pieces. What a shocker, I wonder how that super girl did it.
Girls literally went wild once we were ‘released’ into the rack of clothes. We were given 15 min to stuff our clothes in the bag and also choose our look of the day for a photography session. I managed to find way too many clothes I like, and finally I managed to stuff 5 pieces into the bag. I had less clothes due to a high waist skirt that I took which was really thick and maxi.
After the heart stopping 15 min, I proceeded to do my makeup and hair courtesy of Lab Vamor. Don’t you think they really transformed me and Joanne? I love the curls and the light makeup they gave me and the makeup artist Ally Yee was super nice.
While waiting for my turn for the studio photography, I was relieved that Garsa Kitchen provided some delicious bite sized sandwiches to keep me away from hunger bay.
Some of the goodie bag sponsors were such as Neesya, I can’t wait to try out the products I received like the Sleeping Mask and Makeup remover.
Attendees to the `Secret Affair’ also stand to win Poh Kong prizes totalling RM2,000 in our OOTD Facebook contest later.
Sothy’s sponsored a free facial for us, I will need to go try it out.
Lily Sdn Bhd also gave us a special big umbrella with a fan inside, how cool is that?
So I picked from my bag and found these clothes to wear for the photoshoot. I was supposed to tuck in the blouse! Anyways, I never had these kind of clothes in my wardrobe before, so I thought why not for a change. I ended up really loving both the pieces but I’ll probably wear them separately. We had a fun time doing the photoshoot by Moiz Photography.
Bloggers with the highest votes on Facebook get to win some mystery gifts.
I got this read tie string dress with the white glittery jacket, and the dress is really comfy but on the thinner side. Great for summer but I thought pairing it with the jacket makes it look more elegant. This dress was available in several colours and I had wanted to squeeze in another grey one but failed.
Since Christmas is near, I decided to grab this super comfy loose tshirt with cute reindeers on it. So there you have it, my 5 pieces. I couldn’t believe some girls managed to stuff up to 9 that day!
The good news is, Clothes Buffet My is having an early bird sales so ticket is currently at only RM120.
