Christmas and New Year at Fourpoints By Sheraton, Puchong

It’s the end of the year for 2015, and this is the time for  celebrations, reflections, appreciations and most of all, feasting! Four Points by Sheraton, Puchong has put together a meal you will never forget in their cozy restaurant, The Eatery. This is a hotel known for its no fuss, no frills concept, yet is able to portray class and comfort.

The Eatery is a large restaurant with various seating areas, for big groups and families to intimate couples sharing special moments together. I love the ambience and the modern and chic looks incorporated such as lime green and orange seats and brings a mood of freshness.

I was there to review the Christmas and New Year Buffet Dinner and I must add that the chef has outdone himself. Take a look at the above Seafood on Ice. We literally marveled at how beautiful and amazing was the set up with Fresh Oysters, Escargots, Prawns, Mussels, Clams and Scallops with an assortment of sauces including an interesting wasabi sauce. This is the station I would flock to any day.

The Seafood on Ice is so amazing that is why it deserves extra mention that it is really fresh, flown in live. I am so sensitive when it comes to the freshness of the seafood so this one deserves a thumbs up.

The chef sure has an eye for detail an beauty with this beautiful platter of finger food laid out like a flower. This is a huge platter by the way.


On the outer rim there is the Tian of crab meat, mango and avocado. I happened to adore mango and avocado so throw these together and I would love that dish.

The 2nd layer is smoked salmon with dill and pink pepper sour cream. a lovely combo to bring out the freshness of the salmon slices.


There is not one but two of these giant platters, with this one shaped like an Anchor.


On the right side we have seared beef with wild musrooms and rocket leaves.

On the left we have shaved smoked duck with rock melon. I love that it is sweet and soft, as duck meat can never be overcooked right?

In this section, we have the Roast Lamb Leg that I couldn’t help but want to dig in immediately.

I love the presentation of the Roasted corner, everything looked amazingly good on this.

Pineapple Satay Pizza is great for families coming with kids or needing some carb loading.

There’s even Deep Fried Dim Sum with Dipping Sauce.

There is a pretty wide selection of pasta with Truffle Cream, Winter Mushrooms and Tomato Coulis Sauce.

I’m crazy about cheese of all sorts, so this mega cheese board really wowed my socks off. There were so many types to choose from that can be eaten with the crackers, or even fruits and apricots and nuts, what more can I ask for.

So many more dishes are lined up in crock pots and most of them are worth to try.

The sweet sea bass with sweet corn and mussel ragout is my absolute favourite, being a fish lover.


Try the Oven Roasted Spring Chicken with Fresh Herbs and Lemon Juice that is sure to increase your appetite.
Roasted Brussels Sprouts are a must try when having meat, as vegetables are so important in our diet too.

This ain’t just your usual mashed potatoes, but it is Parmesan Whipped Potatoes so the taste is simple delightful.

I never miss my vegetables so I also tried the Grilled Asparagus with Garlic Aioli, yes most of the vegetables are grilled or roasted so you can be assured of their health benefits.

Usually we must save a space in our tummies for the desserts. Here’s a specially baked Dresdner Stollen, a German Christmas bread, moist and fruity.

I just love the beautiful dessert counter with the Gingerbread house and cakes, Christmas macarons, and giant chocolate snowmen! It is every child’s dream come true, like Hansel and Gretel, I was so attracted and drawn in to every detail.
