Puma Night Run 2015 was held on 31 October 2015 at Setia City Convention Centre. A record of 8000 people gathered for the run, that was double from last year as what I heard.

The PUMA Run Village equipped with a range of on-ground activities including the iconic PUMA logo, double-sided photo walls with the 8,000 runners’ names, and the 96 feet x 20 feet PUMA Challenge

Federal Minister for Youth and Sports, YB Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar and founder of Fit Malaysia, well known for his walking the talk when it comes to fitness, was there to not just grace the event but also to actually run in the 10KM category.

Some of the Puma friends were also there, such as Malaysian National Footballer, Reuben K (Far right), Social Media Influencers and Bloggers, Jason Goh and Kittie Yiyi as well as model Shahar Abdul Salam were spotted at the starting line all raring to run.

The carnival like atmosphere was lively and fun before the run began, with performances by Malaysian beatboxer KouJee 口吉 with his young students, “徒弟” ‪J‬ and ‪‎ZentG who were so talented and got the crowd really going.

The event was also emceed by DJs Ben and Hafiz of Fly FM.

This was the first run that had pacers for every run category with different pace to suit different runners. Runners just need to follow them with the huge balloons to get their desired pace.

Prior to the actual flag off, there were quite a lot of activities on the field that were rather challenging, like his massive wall to scale.

I also noticed every participants’ names were written on this black wall. Many people started finding their names and taking pictures with it.

Unfortunately, as with all outdoor events, the weather is unpredictable. The evening started with a light drizzle but that quickly escalated to a thunderstorm.

Many runners still braved the rain despite the race being called off some time later. Nevertheless, for me, I had no regrets attending the event and managed to take a good bath in the rain, where else could I have done that right?

‬The Puma Night Run 2015 was made possible by the following partners, SP Setia, 100 Plus, L’Oreal, FitBar, Garmin, Proceen, Kaz Prosport, A.D. Time, Huawei, Salonpas and Soul Electronics.
