Last year, my church youth and young adults decided to go for our planning retreat in Malacca, and we found this nice, quaint little townstay hotel really near to Jonker, Jawa Street Townstay. Basically, this hotel is a row of shophouses transformed and renovated into a very cool apartment style hotel. This is perfect for a big family getaway, as you cannot book just one room, you have to book the whole house with first and second floor. Each house has either 2 bedrooms, 3 bedrooms or 5 bedrooms. For us, we booked 3 houses, and the houses have a door in between that we can leave open so that we can just walk through without going to the front gate.
Every house has its own living room, 2 in fact, with couch, TV, a common area for a family to gather, with simple Astro channels.
The living room is airconditioned too.
The flooring is wooden upstairs, very nice and cosy. You can see the doors on the left that leads to the rooms. What I like is that all the rooms are the same, no master room or smaller room, except some have Twin beddings and some have Queen.
The beddings are very comfortable and clean. Each room will have a slight difference in furniture, like some have dresser table, some have full wardrobe, all are air conditioned.
Each floor has a shared toilet. Good thing is there are more toilets downstairs. The shampoo and bath soap are all in dispensers in the bathroom. Outside the bathroom is another sink for washing up, quite convenient if someone else is using the bathroom at the same time.
The house that I stayed in even has this open air area just beside the bathroom, it is really nice to for those that want to get a tan! There’s a nice view of Malacca city from here.
What is really convenient about this hotel is it has its own car park for guests. Guests are all given the auto gate remote too, so you can come in and out as you like, park your car here and walk to Jonker which is like 10 min away. You know how crazy it is to drive about in Malacca town right. I like this place a lot, no mosquitoes etc too. If I have a big family, will definitely bring them here one day.
Looks like a nice place… Maybe I will check it out the next time I am in Malacca…. hugs
The view from the balcony looks fantastic. Will bring my little angels there 🙂

wow not bad after all, but what’s the price per night? Are there any connecting room?
It’s not connecting but you can book a whole house and all the houses are connected by side door
I go to melaka pretty regularly. Gonna check this out soon. Looks like not too bad the place.

To me this is a more than a suite with everything you need. You find them all here. Cool and Clean. Comfort is a luxury here for a suite at a very affordable price. Family and friends gathering is very ideal..all under one roof. Simply great. My family and friends stayed here not once but twice. Great value for the kind of price. Try it and you will agree.
