Do Your Kids Eat Fruits?

I love fruits, but somehow I am given kids that won’t eat fruits at all. Josiah is now 4.5 years old but he still hates fruits. He would eat them when forced, but only certain fruits like bananas, water melons, well that’s about it. He might eat when forced but he would have a hard time eating it, with a frown and looking like he want to vomit anytime. I look at other kids that love fruits so much they would grab and feed themselves with it, and I am just heartbroken to see my own kid hating fruits so much even though he started off with fruits as a baby.

Over the years I had tried all kinds of alternative ways to feed him fruits, from dried fruits to smoothies to making popsicles. I hide the fruits but he can still taste it and reject it. That is why I am so thankful for YumEarth Organics for their products. Recently I got the YumEarth Fruit Snacks and it’s so yummy and Josiah loves it; he has been asking for it daily. Although it’s packaged like gummy candy, it is actually vegan and gluten free, there’s no artificial flavours or sugars like corn syrup. It’s made using purely organic fruits juice. No additives or chemicals so it says.

Josiah also loves their lollipops made the same way, just with fruit juice. If you think giving these to kids will make them love candy more and in the end become addicted to candy, well it’s not true. Josiah will not take any other candy from any other brands. He is very afraid of them and will only take the YumEarth Organics lollies and fruit snacks. I also limit him to a max of one a day since they are 100% Vitamin C. The fruit snacks have 5 small packs within a big pack, so one pack a day of that or one lolly is max a day. Of course, since I do not have a lot of stock, I don’t give them to him daily. At the moment, a trial unit of the YumEarth Organics is only USD1.92.

The other way to get from fruits into his system is using this: Macrolife Naturals, Macro Coco Greens, All Natural Chocolate Super-Food.

So far, Josiah had only tried this once. I used only a scoop and add it to his normal fresh milk and it tasted just like his normal chocolate milk so he didn’t notice a thing. It’s also vegan and gluten free, contains probiotics and is actually 3 servings of fruits and vegetables in a scoop. What happened after I gave this Josiah was he had a most major poop the next day, quite like our body’s reaction after taking detox drinks. I don’t know if it has anything to do with this drink, I just suspect it does, since it is high in fibre and all.

Below are a couple of videos showing how the candies are made. Meanwhile, I will have to continue thinking of ideas how to make my boys love their fruits.
