My photo for racial unity
Some time last year, Leila, a beautiful indie singer and songwriter wrote to me concerning wanting to use my Cambodian boy picture for her new album merchandise, some bag she was gonna use it on. Hadn’t heard from her since, until I received a letter from her recently, in which she gave me her previous album, her concert vcd and wrote me a sweet letter. 🙂 I watched her vcd and listened to her songs, she’s pretty good for her genre of music. Happy Gawai
It’s Gawai eve today! My sis just reminded, I had totally forgotten what date it is today. This year would mark don’t know how many years since I had not had the chance to spend Gawai at home, celebrating with my local bumi friends, having a good time with Tuak, visiting and just having that privilege of an extra holiday only enjoyed there. Gee I must find some ways to celebrate…besides of course going to my church’s BM service…

A little break
Cats…don’t they all love to sleep… I had a great break recently at Sunway Lagoon, only the 3rd time going there in my life. My sis who came to visit and went with me to Bangkok the last trip, gave me a couple of free tickets, which of course I gratefully grab. Although it was a public holiday, the place wasn’t as packed as I had thought. It was fun going through the rides, but I couldn’t bear the 360 degrees rides anymore. Age catching up? Bah… So when’s the next public holiday? Can’t wait…

Bangkok and Songkran
I made another trip to Bangkok over the Easter weekend, thanks to the free tickets from AirAsia (have to pay tax of course), plus my sis and bro-in-law wanted to visit the city as well. I didn’t want to stay the Big John’s this time due to the not so nice service the last time, so I chose to stay at YHA Hostel Thailand for its convenience to the Skytrain, only 10 minutes walk away. If you’re looking to book a hostel, try Hostelbookers.com coz you don’t have to pay extra deposit. Anyways, I got to Bangkok city only in the night. Headed straight to Suan Lum Night Bazaar. It…
