Full Moon party
It is customary for Chinese to celebrate their child’s first month on earth with either a gathering of friends and food or giving of gift packs with food and red eggs. Well, we thought for a long time which we wanted and settled for a buffet dinner at our house. So we celebrated Josiah’s full moon with a party on Sunday 8 March… The one month hasn’t all been easy, but time does fly. This is Josiah wearing his pajamas all the way from Slovakia, which travelled on air for one month. Thanks to Aylwin and Li-Ann and Arielle. I gave them the honour by using the clothes they bought…

I miss my confinement time
So, confinement is finally over, but instead of sighing with relief, I wish it was a little longer. Let’s see why.. 1) I had a super cun confinement nanny, her name is Mandy Mandy has been in the business for only 5 years, and used to work in a restaurant. Week 4 with Josiah
Josiah made his first month visit to the clinic today for his jab, immunisation from Hepatitis. This would be the 2nd jab since birth. As for Josiah, he has certainly gained weight and grown taller. Weight: 4.36kg Height: 56 cm I can certainly feel his weight when carrying him! So at the clinic, it took nearly 2 hours for everything to be checked. The doctor checked his bum…

Week 3 with Josiah
At day 18, the nurses came to my house for the last time to take Josiah’s weight. At the time, he weigh 3.9kg, getting chubbier now. He’s getting bigger very fast, and I think soon he can’t wear his newborn rompers anymore. Josiah has now developed some kind of schedule, though I think this will change quite often with age. The nights are actually easier easier to handle than day time. At nights, he wakes up every 2.5-3 hours to feed. He usually doesn’t cry loudly immediately, but will make funny sounds in his crib to wake me up. He’ll start rooting, so I’ll know he wants to be nursed.…
