3 days ago, most Nuffnangers received email from Nuffnang about their new Exclusive members only club…aptly named Glitterati. This was exactly the day of Advertlet’s fall…when its site was unaccessible and had caused blogger’s site to be diverted to a hijacked page. Nuffnang’s new marketing tactic couldn’t be more timely, considering these are the two main Malaysian online advertising revenue for Malaysian bloggers. Like most people, I run quite a lot of ads on my site, including these two. In fact, I also have Gradmyads and Nufflets, those that are from Asian region. As I was browsing Technorati this morning, I realised Chua Soi Lek made it to Technorati’s Top Searches where it is usually relegated to infamous superstars, hot babes, sports figures, techy terms, and now Malaysia’s ex-politician turned public humiliation. What a piece of news to put the name of Malaysia on the world map. 2nd Paypal Withdrawal and server migration
On New Year’s Day, I made another Paypal withdrawal to my Public Bank Visa Electron. This time it took exactly five days. Having gotten myself a Public Bank’s ebanking account, the process is so much easier to check just from online. However, the exchange rate is lower this time. The first time I did the transfer, the rate was at 3.2768. But this time it was at 3.2738. I also had less money this time due to having to spend it on a new hosting package. My site was getting really problematic, with constant down times. I had previously bought a lifetime hosting package at USD25. Didn’t quite last me…
