Full Moon party
It is customary for Chinese to celebrate their child’s first month on earth with either a gathering of friends and food or giving of gift packs with food and red eggs. Well, we thought for a long time which we wanted and settled for a buffet dinner at our house. So we celebrated Josiah’s full moon with a party on Sunday 8 March… The one month hasn’t all been easy, but time does fly. The Birth Experience
This can be pretty graphic, so read at your own risk. So by my calculations, my EDD aka Due Date for Baby Josiah was Feb 6. However, by Monday Feb 2 I was starting to get some contractions. By Wednesday, I finished all the work I can so I don’t have to go back to work on Thursday. So many people were asking me to take 2 days off before the due date. On Wednesday whole, I was timing the contractions, and it was getting pretty regular at 5-10 minutes apart, lasting at least 30 seconds. Chinese New Year away from home
This year is the first year in 30 years that I spent CNY away from home, my home town that is, although I now have to call Kajang my home. As of first day of CNY, I was 2 weeks away from meeting my first born face to face, so it’s impossible to fly back to Sarawak. No airplane would be willing to board a heavily pregnant woman, well, I wouldn’t try to board anyways. So, we thought we’re going to spend a quiet CNY here, like just another holiday. PC Fair might be over in KLCC, but it’s not over yet for the whole Malaysia. This weekend it is still happening at Persada Johor International Convention Centre, Johor Bahru – Jalan Abdullah Ibrahim, 80000 Johor Bahru . So for those that missed the Cash Chamber, don’t forget to visit the one at P1 Wimax booth at PC Fair JB.
