I am thinking of doing a professional photo shoot for my Josiah, and then to get PhotoBookMalaysia to print it, as I did with my wedding album. I’d probably be getting my online mommy friend’s husband who’s a children photographer to take, their site is at http://pixmoments.com/. Anyways, because of that, I am joining this contest in a bid to win the prizes sponsored by PhotoBookMalaysia. All I need to do is upload the pics of Josiah in his carseat, and talk about this contest. The cool prizes include well, photobooks what else, and some cool bags from AliceWonders.

So here goes, my baby and me in his child seat Singapore made brand. I bought the carseat online, intending to use it since Josiah was born on 5 February 2009. Well, instead, I started using it really when he was bigger, around 1 month when we took him to the clinic.

For me, using the carseat when traveling is really really of utmost importance when bringing baby in the car. Holding the baby in my arms is equivalent to me not using seat belt when driving. I know of many parents who never use a carseat, or grandparents who spoil their grandkids by carrying them all the time until they resent the carseat. I don’t understand why they do that! Using carseats are so much more convenient. I don’t have to strain my arm muscles carrying my baby. I cannot imagine a ride to PJ, 40 minutes carrying my heavy nearly 9kg baby, who will also get tired being carried and cannot rest.

Normally, it doesn’t take very long for him to feel sleepy while strapped in. He will fall asleep to the vibration of the car and lower oxygen in the air. However, we don’t use the carseat as a method of putting Josiah to sleep as he sleeps well in the house. Thank God he is not the very cranky type. Nevertheless, it helps that he manage to nap for when we take long rides of more than 30 minutes to the malls or something. I do think every parent should really invest in a good carseat. I bought one from Halford which can last him up to 4 years old. For now, it is backward facing to minimise neck injuries in view of accidents.
