Party of The Century was just held last week, and it was definitely the most Star Studded event ever. Empire City located in Damansara really knows how to throw the perfect party that will have its VVIPS, Guests and Media raving about it for days onwards. I had the privilege the cover this event as media and get to experience a once in a lifetime lifestyle of the rich and famous.
Empire City is basically a new mammoth development that will house a huge mall with an Olympic Sized Ice Skating Rink, a high street that seems outdoors but has controlled temperature, 5 star hotels, SOHOs, corporate towers and condominiums. Maybe this video will give an idea how major this development will be when launched around 3rd quarter of 2015.
The Party Of The Century Stage and floor was actually set on the future Ice Skating Rink. Everything was still under construction, but the whole place was transformed with an amazing stage set up, red carpet and balconies that overlook the stage.
I was ushered with the rest of the media to the top floor, passing a stairs full of bouncers as this party was by invite only. We get to hang out while awaiting the celebs arrival with a wide array of finger food and desserts, free flow of juice and all kinds of cocktails and beer.
2am arrived first but I missed that even though the interview area was just next to where I sat. By the time I went there to catch some pics, I managed to see Him Law, Eliza Sam and Sharon Chan being interviewed by Emcee Stephinie Tan.
It was after that that Paris Hilton the Socialite and DJ for the night arrived to the frenzy of the media, whom she called Paparazzi. Surprisingly, we were allowed to get really close to her while her guards stood on edge, Malaysian media thankfully is not that rough but maintained their respectable distance. Paris smiled like a doll for pictures and proceeded to take a media selfie, which caused some of the fans to get a little over excited at the perspective of appearing on her instagram.
Some people’s dreams came true that night. Paris posed for something like 2 minutes before being ushered off by her bodyguards, and the cohort or photogs and paparazzi followed suit. We had some time to take pics and then I met Kylie and got a pic with her, doesn’t she look sooo lovely!
Professional photographers were also ready to take pics for us which we could print on the spot, great for memories.
It was then that the performances were about to start, with 2am kicking off the show.
I only managed to take some of them and of Mark Vincent, who by the way, has an amazing voice.
Some of the major performances were like a violinist hanging from the ceiling, Caitlin De Ville, and speed painter Brad Blaze as well as a drums ensemble. Empire City did not fail in entertaining the guests without much time to idle.
The main show of the night was of course by Paris Hilton and Taboo from Black Eyed Peas as they played their sets to a highly energetic crowd.
Videos can be found on Empire City’s Facebook.
I definitely enjoyed the party as it was truly a party like no other. #potcmy @partyofthecenturyMY
