Mid Autumn Festival in a Magical Forest

What a truly a beautiful night at The Arc, Bandar Rimbayu by IJM Land situated in Kota Kemuning. We finally get to celebrate Mid Autumn Festival there having missed it when we were back in Kuching. We bought lanterns that night but it was raining heavily hence our disappointment. Well, the kids’ dreams came true as they were able to walk with their lantern the traditional way with real candles in such a beautiful garden!

I love the vast and spacious grounds here at Bandar Rimbayu. A large football field lies on one side and a shaded area for cycling and skating. Most importantly, there was a lake where the Lover’s Bridge is situated.

We had our dinner there together with house buyers and they served amazing char kueh tiaw. I also had popiah, satay, tomato fried rice and local kuih muih.

In the meantime, we were serenaded by a Chinese Orchestra playing traditional to modern tunes. It really set the atmosphere

Finally, the sun sets. We lighted up the lanterns for Jordan and Josiah and was ready to enter the magical forest!

It was really beautiful to walk through this bridge of love. It is also such a romantic place.

Bandar Rimbayu had set up some giant animal lanterns just for the night.

There was also the panda which is everyone’s favourite as families lined up to take pics with it.

We searched and found the giant tortoise too. I believe these animals have special meanings in the Chinese folklore.

The beautifully lighted bridge lay across the lake and gave us a breathtaking view.

There were many scenic areas for a night time photography. I wished I could stay longer and capture more pictures there.

Finally, at the end of the forest, I saw this giant lighted butterfly. Most noteworthy, it was really beautiful in real life. Hence, many were trying to get their photos taken here too.

Seems like our family really love the outdoors. Most of all, we wish we can live in a neighbourhood like this that puts nature first because we can hang out outdoors a lot in the safety of the compounds.
