The first thing that caught our attention was definitely the four tiered chocolate fountain at the entrance with a variety of marshmallows to choose from, this will definitely delight the young and the sweet toothed ones.

Highlights will be a special selection of the legendary Tan Sri P. Ramlee’s favourites such as Whole Roasted Lamb ‘Kuzi’ style, Gulai Kawal Sotong Sumbat, Burung Puyuh Percik, Ayam Goreng, Serawa Durian Pulut and more.

The lamb was my most unforgetable dish, it was succulent and soft and juicy all over, I could devour the whole lamb.

The burung puyuh was another amazing dish, not only pleasing to the eyes but sure to whet your appetite for more.

I was told that the Serawa Durian Pulut amongst the many sweet dessert dishes was the best of all, definitely a delight for all Durian lovers.

For the health conscious, there are also an extensive selection of traditional local salads found in various parts of Malaysia such as kerabu made of young papayas, mangoes and ferns, ulam-ulam kampung and rojak.

Dorsett Signature Satay is possibly as good as famous Kajang Satay where I come from. Very fresh and soft meat.

Seafood lovers will love this spicy soupy Kelio Udang.

Friends from the north would not want to miss the Persembur, chefs here cook it on the spot. It give you the feeling of hawker style dining but with the luxury of being in Checker’s Cafe.

Check out how they are served in tiny paper plates for ease of eating.

If kids can’t eat the spicy food, there’s always the sushi spread, so many to choose from, and they are authentically delicious.

Nasi Kerabu Bunga Talang is another Dorsett Signature Dish, of course being in a buffet it is actually served in tiny bowls.

DSC00400
You still get to sample the nasi kerabu and not be too filled up to try other dishes.

DSC00424
I love this grilled ikan kembung that is also stuffed, it is grilled on the spot for diners.

DSC00364
There are so many healthy grilled items on the menu, just pick and choose any that you like.

DSC00346
Desserts are aplenty here, there’s even apam balik that is my childhood snack, really brings back the fond memories of being young again.

DSC00351
There is so many many types of dessert, that I could just stay at the dessert counter all night, like this delicious and light lemon tart.

DSC00325
Chocolate pie that is not too sweet but lovely for choc lovers.

DSC00332
A huge variety of kuih muih and sweets all waiting to be taken to your table.

DSC00341
No lack of cakes and panna cotta either, I love the red velvet, chocolate cake, carrot cake, cheese cakes and more.

I was so full on the way out but had to try this Match Panna Cotta recommended by Ayue, you know I am crazy about matcha in any kind of food.
