This Chinese New Year, we won’t be able to go back to Sarawak and taste all the delicious food there since it is very near to my delivery date. During Christmas, we were having dinner with John’s sisters and brother and in-laws, when his sister told us about a newly opened Sarawak Laksa stall in Kajang, so near to our house, just opposite the old Hugo supermarket.
We hastily made our way there the very next morning for breakfast.
The stall is inside Kafe Chung Hua, a corner lot shop under the fly over. It is just opened over a month by a Kuching Tabuan Jaya guy called Ah Ping. What’s my review? 8 out of 10! Not bad, it is a very huge bowl and totally authentic. The soup is quite rich and it comes with the standard lime and sambal belacan and prawns that are quite big.
What’s more..it’s served in the standard chicken bowl..although this is the new kind of bowl in its shape.
Highly recommended! For Sarawakians who miss the laksa so much and for people here who’s always wondered how it taste like… only RM5 for a bowl and RM6 for large.
