Latest Email Scam

Today I received a latest email scam which I haven’t seen before. Scammers work all the same way, on cashing in on reader’s GREED. Most scam or hoax emails are not directly from Malaysia, but it appears this one is…is the economy crisis really causing people to resort to this kind of method? I have not found this on Snopes.com yet. I hope nobody gets cheated. Who is this Syed Abu Karim? Can somebody send him a maliscious virus?

Dear: leona lim

I am pleased to seek your cooperation in this under mentioned business proposal despite absence of previous correspondence between us.

My name is Syed Abu Karim; I work with Uni Diamond in United Kingdom. Our line of business spans across purification, sales, marketing and distribution of diamond, gold, and other related precious stones within and across Europe, American, Asian Pacific and Africa.

My company has been buying a product called AST AUTOMATIC CLEANSER (1XP.01) from South Korea currently used in purification of diamond and other related products aimed at enhancing its clarity, color, cut and carat weight. (4cs of Diamond)

I have discovered privately that the product can be bought in Malaysia rather that South Korea, which I have discussed with our management without giving them the seller’s contact details. Furthermore, our management has decided to send our purchasing manager to Malaysia to purchase the product rather than South Korea.

Sequel to the above, I am contacting you, because I do not have the capital to execute this contract, so I need you to stand as the distributor of the product by buying it out from the distributor there in Malaysia whom I shall give you her contact details, and resell to the my company.

Previously, we have been buying this product at the rate of $2,350.00 per carton, from South Korea, but I have successfully convinced the management that we can get the same product at a reduced rate of $1,950.00 per carton in Malaysia; however, the actual price of the product in Malaysia is $1,100.00.

Your ultimate obligation will be to secure the product from the distributor at $1,100.00, and sell the same immediately to our manager at $1,950.00 per carton.

Please my dear I really want someone who is capable to handle this deal with me because it’s not a small deal. And I really do not want my company to go directly to the seller in Malaysia and find out how much the distributor sells this product, because this will definitely knock us out of the deal.

Also, the current market projection of our product in Western Europe, Asian Pacific and North East American suggests that we will be demanding more than 20 cartons per trip, starting from 2 weeks time.

I will provide the full details and procedures immediately you respond to enable the company contact you officially.

Your swift reaction to the above will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Syed Abu Karim
